Sometimes the two sides are miles apart. I wish they could just be zipped together.
Potential, intention, promise on one side. Reality on the other.
This is going to be a blog about the tension and distance between what is wished for, hoped for, and what actually happens. Do we settle for compromise, do we settle down at all? Do we carry on down this avenue, or change tracks?
How do I get from where I am now, to be where I want to be? I’m not at all sure where this journey is leading, but I’m looking forward to it.
I love connections. I grew up in a family that valued connections. We lived in far away places and may dad always looked up relatives and friends when we returned to the Western Cape, South Africa. I have continued this quest of connecting with friends and relatives over the world, and modern technology has made it easier.
I love this Gideon. We have to keep on with the journey: and we need each other to encourage that keeping on. I’d like to see more posts reflecting in this powerful, terse way. By the way, a page I made earlier today – Glimmers of Reality – was musing along similar lines. http://benleney.wordpress.com/glimmers-of-reality/
Thanks Ben. I’m still experimenting and getting to know the WordPress format. Any constructive input will be welcome.
